E' ormai da decenni che Taiwan fa parte dei paesi più industrializzati e più ricchi del mondo. Così tanto ormai, da aver mantenuto ben poco della tradizione contadina cinese ed essere divenuta uno stato con più di 20 milioni di abitanti dediti ad industria, commercio, finanza e perché no? ultimamente anche sostenibilità ambientale, architettura, ecc, ecc
Un esempio é questo centro per le arti di Kaohsiung, seconda metropoli dell'isola dopo Taipei. Una struttura ecosostenibile per le zone tropicali, in cui invece che creare energia e calore tramite differenti tecnologie, si incentiva sopra la struttura una vegetazione ed una circolazione delle acque che agevolano il fresco e l'aria.
It's been decades since Taiwan has been part of the most industrialized and richest countries in the world. So now that they have retained very little of the Chinese rural traditions and have become a state with more than 20 million people engaged in industry, trade, finance, and why not? more recently, environmental sustainability, architecture, etc., etc.
An example of this is this arts center in Kaohsiung, the second metropolis of the island after Taipei. A sustainable structure for the tropics, where instead of creating heat and energy through different technologies, incentives over the vegetation structure and circulation of water to facilitate the fresh air.
